Still Loves the Marx Manifesto

Daniels is a social critic and University Lecturer who studies social, economic and political issues related to poverty, social welfare, and income and wealth distribution. He is particularly interested in the historical development of strategies to address these issues, and of social movements to create a more equitable distribution of economic resources. Mr. Daniels has also been an avid fan of the sport of boxing for over 25 years, and has a great interest in its history.
Mr. Daniels was born in New England and educated at fine universities in this region of the United States. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science and a Masters in Sociology, and is currently completing his doctoral dissertation in social welfare policy. A longtime progressive, as a young boy, Mr. Daniels distributed literature for the McGovern campaign in 1972, and still considers it a tragedy for this country that McGovern did not win 33 years later.
Daniels is greatly disturbed by the political, social and economic direction taken by the United States since the election of Ronald Reagan, and this contributed to his choice of teaching, advocacy, and research on social issues as a career. He hopes that by raising awareness of the folly of increasing extreme economic inequality and insecurity for the majority of people, he can help to promote changes in economic and social policy that create a more equitable and just distribution of wealth and income in the United States; and indeed, the world.
